A Decoration Designed for the Well-Being of Patients

When this young psychologist contacted HOJE STUDIO, she wanted to set up her very first office by creating a warm and soothing space, both for herself and her patients. With a limited budget, she needed guidance to make the right furniture choices and organize her small space of about 10m². Her goal was clear: to design a place conducive to exchange, trust, and relaxation. Today, this office has become a true cocoon, blending softness, nature, and harmony—where every element was thoughtfully chosen to promote well-being.

A Collaborative Project Between Vision, Expertise… and Remote Work

At HOJE STUDIO, we believe interior design is first and foremost a dialogue. Our role is to listen, advise, and bring our clients’ ideas to life by providing structure and coherence. This project perfectly illustrates that philosophy, as it was carried out entirely remotely—from the initial contacts to the final design recommendations.

Despite the geographic distance, the professional relationship was built on smooth, responsive, and caring communication. Thanks to collaborative tools (video calls, annotated plans, shared inspiration boards online, and regular email exchanges), we were able to establish trust and ensure support as rigorous as if we were on-site.

The client already had some preferences, especially regarding furniture, but sought the assurance of a professional eye to optimize her choices. Together, through our remote discussions, we defined an ambiance true to her vision: warm, natural, minimalist, and Scandinavian.

An Immersion in Nature for a Calming Space

One key element of this project was grounding the office in nature. To achieve this, we worked with the room’s existing assets, particularly the large windows that open onto the outside and the living plant wall the client wanted to keep. The idea was to extend this connection to nature by playing with colors and materials:

• Terracotta armchairs, evoking earth and ground, to firmly anchor the discussion area.

• A green painted lower wall panel, reminiscent of tree canopies, bringing freshness and serenity.

• Green and botanical accessories placed at height to echo the plant wall and strengthen this natural immersion.

This palette of colors and materials creates a comforting and reassuring atmosphere, ideal for a consultation space where trust is essential.

A Smooth and Functional Layout

In a limited space, optimization is essential. We worked on smart zoning that defines and structures different sub-areas while maintaining good circulation flow:

• A discussion area: a cozy circle of comfortable chairs to encourage dialogue.

• A desk area: discreet and functional, for wrapping up sessions and handling administrative tasks.

• A relaxation corner: a small space with a side table to offer herbal tea and extend the moment of well-being.

• An entry area: with a coat rack and bench, allowing patients to remove their shoes and settle comfortably as soon as they arrive.

• A partition zone: designed to hide the door and enhance the feeling of a protective cocoon.

This subtle segmentation makes the most of every inch of the office while creating a sense of space and harmony, essential in a consultation setting.

To stay within the client’s budget, we proceeded in stages: first selecting suitable furniture that integrated her existing pieces and optimized her expenses. Then, we developed a plan for evolving the office with painting and layout recommendations she can implement gradually.

The result? An office that reflects her personality—a space where she feels comfortable and where her patients can relax and open up in complete serenity. Thanks to our support, she was able to turn her ideas into reality with a structured, coherent vision.
